Gritting it out not working?

Build systems instead.

Building a business is one of the hardest things you can ever do.

Make no mistake.

  • You will get tired.

  • You will feel like giving up.

  • You will feel “burnt out”

Knowing that the journey will be difficult.

How can we prepare ourselves for when grit and determination aren’t enough?

Pro-Tip: Take a step back to re-align
with your work.

It is important to acknowledge that we are always making choices.

I find that to be liberating because it also means you can make
different ones at any time.

We are in control.

So why not take a moment to take a step back?

To make sure the things you are doing.

Are the things we actually want to be doing.

Ask yourself the hard questions:

  • What does this enable me to become?

  • What does this constrain me from doing?

  • Am I ok with those tradeoffs?

This will make sure that when the times get rough.

You are certain that you wouldn’t trade what you are doing for anything.

Pro-Tip: Build better systems.

Some days you aren’t going to feel motivated.

Other days, you just don’t have what it takes.

Don’t beat yourself up about it.

This is human.

A way we can hedge against this inevitability.

So you don’t risk your consistency.

Is to build better systems.

Taking a step to pause and reflect on your current workload can help
you identify opportunities to do things better.

A great place to start is to think about all the manual tasks you already do.

  • Like moving content to different folders inside Google Drive.

  • Or sending that same email a million times after a meeting.

Learn to automate those things using tools like Zapier.

So you can save time and energy.

To focus on work that moves you forward.

This journey isn’t easy.

The longer you play the harder it gets.

So make sure you have the right things in place to help you be successful.

Don’t wait to get tired.

Be prepared for when you do.

And give yourself the support you need.

To go the distance.

That being said.

What are you waiting for?
